SIn - Software Inventory
 

SIn vuole essere un interfaccia per la compilazione ed installazione di distribuzioni software 'tar.gz' (sorgenti), per la manutenzione e convivenza di versioni multiple in modo indipendente dal sistema operativo (unix) o dalla distribuzione (linux).

É inoltre previsto un metodo per poter ricostruire tutto i prodotti installati in un sistema appena installato come lo erano giá in un precedente sistema.

Utilizza uno script shell di controllo per la gestione dei file ed un interfaccia php/xml per la visualizzazione e configurazione.

SIn potrá gestire solo installazione di tar.gz standard senza comunque potersi occupare di azioni di pre e post installazione.

Questo prodotto è ancora in fase di sviluppo ed è rilasciato solo ed esclusivamente per contributi allo sviluppo.

SIn is planned to be an interface to building and installation of 'tar.gz' source distribution of software, to maintain multiple versions and control product installation and activation, in a system (unix) and distribution (linux) independent way.

It is also expected to provide a function to rebuild all the installed/configured software in a freshly installed system as they where in a previous life.

It implements a shell script for managing files and commands and a php/xml interface for configuration and web access.

Note that SIn has nothing magic in it enough to understand special installation requirements for some products such as (but not only) pre/post installation and configuration actions.

This product is still at development level, and NOT released for any kind of use but development.
